ECCLESIASTICAL LEADERSHIP
In April, 2018, Reverend Brown was ordained as a Baptist Minister at First Calvary Baptist Church in Richmond, Virginia. In February, 2011, Reverend Brown was licensed as a Baptist Minister at Friendship Memorial Baptist Church also located in Richmond, Virginia and served as the Director of Women’s Ministry and the Benevolence Committee for the church. Reverend Butler-Brown is also a licensed and ordained minister with the Church Assemblies of the World, Inc. (C.A.W.)
She has founded and assisted in the planting of churches in Oklahoma, Florida, Massachusetts and Virginia. She has served as staff evangelist in the Church of God in Christ. Reverend Brown also served as the Ministerial Counselor for the International Coalition of Women in Ministry. Before coming to the Baptist Church, Reverend Brown served on the Board of Directors for the Word of Life Ministry COGOP, where she was the Director of Outreach Ministries.
COMMUNITY SERVICE:
With regard to community service, Reverend Brown is a member of the Board of Directors for Open Door Ministries, founded by Whitfield and Anita Mayton. She served as Chairman of the Financial Service Committee of Commuter Care Services Foundation as well as co-sponsor of the SABIEO Annual Mother-Daughter Tea.
PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATIONS & LEADERSHIP
Reverend Brown has been elected to serve on numerous professional boards and committees. She was appointed as Florida Ministerial Alliance, board member and committee chairman of the grants & fundraising committee. She was appointed as a member of the Nonprofit Council of Alexandria, Virginia and Member of the Inter-service Club Council of Alexandria Virginia. She was appointed to the Board of the Mayor’s Commission on Status of Women and served on the Board of the Mayor’s Gang Taskforce in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
BUSINESS AND OUTREACH
Reverend Brown along with two of her daughters began HALLELUIAH SEMINARS GROUP, LLC (HSG, LLC.) a business geared toward the training of the masses through a faith-based, holistic approach. Reverend Brown is a subject matter expert on business development and employment training for at risk groups. She along with her daughter and partner, Patricia Edwards developed and administered a program for senior adults and young men. Seminars and Courses she has created and facilitated range from Education, Business, and Ministerial to Health, Fitness, and Wellness. The first Job Readiness and Development Class graduated with honors in November 2009.
